REASI, Mar 11: Strengthening emergency response and public safety mechanisms, the Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Paramvir Singh today flagged off newly launched Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) integrated with the national emergency helpline number 112 from the premises of District Police Lines (DPL) Reasi.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by Addl SP Hqrs Reasi, Iftkhar Ahmed, DySP Hqrs Reasi, Vishal Singh Jamwal, Dy SP DAR Reasi, Sarbjeet Singh and officials of District Police Reasi.
These Emergency Response Vehicles are equipped with modern communication systems and are designed to ensure swift response to distress calls received on helpline number 112.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Reasi highlighted that the deployment of ERVs will significantly enhance the police’s ability to respond quickly to emergencies such as crimes, accidents, medical assistance and other public safety concerns. He stated that the initiative reflects the commitment of District Police Reasi towards citizen-centric policing and improved service delivery.
The SSP further emphasized that the vehicles will remain on round-the-clock duty and will be strategically deployed across the district to ensure prompt assistance to the public in times of need.
District Police Reasi reiterated its appeal to the public to make responsible use of the 112 emergency helpline and cooperate with the police in maintaining peace, safety and law & order in the district.
The event concluded with the SSP formally flagging off the ERVs, marking another step towards strengthening the emergency response system and ensuring safer communities in District Reasi.
