REASI, Feb 24: Under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), Reasi Police today flagged off a group of 88 students from different schools of remote and far-flung areas of District Reasi for a week-long Bharat Darshan Tour.
The contingent is accompanied by five caretakers, including Inspr Sukhbir Singh and PSI Padmini of District Police Reasi. The tour was formally flagged off by Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Paramvir Singh, from District Police Line Reasi in the presence of other senior officers and officials.
While interacting with the students, SSP Paramvir Singh urged them to make the most out of this unique opportunity to broaden their horizons, understand the nation’s rich cultural diversity and imbibe the values of unity, peace and brotherhood. He emphasized that the tour aims to provide meaningful exposure to India’s history, heritage, development, and modern institutions, thereby boosting self-confidence and contributing to the overall personality development of the youth.
The Bharat Darshan Tour, fully sponsored by J&K Police under CAP, covers all logistics including air travel, boarding, lodging, guided visits and AC transportation. During the tour, the students will visit New Delhi and Chennai, where they will explore historical monuments, premier educational institutions, prominent tourist landmarks, and major industrial units. Each participant has been provided with a complete tour kit comprising a tracksuit, shoes, cap, and carry bag to ensure comfort and uniformity during the journey.
Among others present on the occasion were Addl SP Hqrs Reasi, Iftkhar Ahmed; DySP Hqrs Reasi, Vishal Singh Jamwal; Dy SP DAR Reasi, Sarbjeet Singh and SHO P/S Reasi Inspr Khyatimaan Khajuria.
Parents and students expressed heartfelt gratitude to J&K Police for this commendable initiative, appreciating the department’s consistent efforts to positively channelize the energy of youth through educational exposure, cultural awareness and career guidance opportunities.
