BANIHAL, Dec 7: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban, Kulbir Singh, today chaired a meeting of Police Sub-Division Banihal to review the cases under investigation.
The meeting was attended by SDPO Banihal, DySP Headquarters Ramban, SHOs of Banihal, Ramsoo, Incharge Police Posts of Jawahar Tunnel, Khari, Ukhral, Neel and other investigation officers.
During the meeting, SSP Ramban took stock of the progress of various under-investigation and under-trial cases and directed for quality investigation and following of cases rigorously at the trial level.
The participating officers were directed to conclude the investigations on merits with the use of technological advancements to ensure effective investigation and trial.
The NDPS Act related cases were also discussed in detail and focus was given on connecting backward and forward linkages.
The meeting also focussed on tracing of missing persons and arresting of absconders.
