KATRA, June 26: On the eve of forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, SSP Railways Katra, Ashok Sharma, reviewed the security arrangements of GRP Katra including Railways station Katra.
SSP briefed the all officers and officials of GRP to remain extra vigilant in view of the security scenario of the State and day to day subversive incidents.
He also reviewed recently completed work on laying of concertina wire to strengthening the access control.
SHO P/S GRP Katra, Inspr Narinder Singh Jamwal along with I/C Railways Special Branch, Inspr Rakesh Kumar also shared the details of people and officers residing /working within the premises of Railways Station Katra with SSP and SDPO Kamlesh Shore.
They also informed about various raids conducted by GRO in the past to effectively curb unwanted activities in the jurisdiction of Railways Katra, including tightening noose of practice of unregistered hawkers who come through the trains for selling their eatable items and have potential to become security threat and law and order problem.
