DODA, Nov 6: SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta here today convened a high-level crime and security review meeting.
The meeting was attended by senior Police officers including Additional SP Headquarters and Gandoh, DySPs Headquarters, DAR besides all SHOs and In-charges of Police Posts. Officers from across the district joined virtually while those posted in Doda attended the meeting in person.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various aspects of crime, law and order and overall security arrangements across the district. A review of pending warrants under Section 356(8) BNSS was undertaken and strict directions were issued for their prompt execution.
The SSP directed all the officers to ensure expeditious investigation and charge-sheeting of cases related to murder, attempt to murder, NDPS, UAPA and POCSO offences within 60-90 days, with due emphasis on quality, accountability and legal compliance. He also underscored the mandatory use of Forensic Science Laboratory services in all relevant cases.
Underlining the importance of surveillance and law & order, SSP Mehta stressed enhanced monitoring of drug peddlers, OGWs, miscreants and rumour-mongers. He directed all officers to take proactive and preventive measures to uphold peace, law and order and communal harmony in the district.
The SSP urged officers to minimize case pendency, achieve targets set by higher authorities and maintain the highest standards of professionalism, accountability and public service.
