DODA, Dec 5: SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta here today held a PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group) meeting which was attended by political and social activists along with prominent persons, former councilor, heads of NGOs, members of business community and others from the Doda town.
The participants in the meeting highlighted many demands and issues of Doda town and its adjoining areas.
A patient hearing was given by the SSP to the demands and it was assured that all the demands pertaining to other departments will be taken up with concerned departments for appropriate action while the issues pertaining to Police would be resolved soon.
Addressing the meeting, SSP Doda urged the people of Doda to maintain brotherhood, communal harmony and strengthen the hands of Police in eradicating social crime so that a peaceful atmosphere is built there.
The people present in the meeting were also informed to provide information to Police about smuggling of drugs, bovine, manufacturing of illicit liquor and other illegal activities if they notice the same in their neighbourhood for initiating lawful action.
SSP Doda informed the participants that the Police has made a lot of scarifies in fighting terrorism in the region during militancy and it will continue to fight to curb criminal activities in the society.
