SSP Kichloo hosts cyber awareness campaign for business sector

KATRA, Apr 8: In a proactive initiative to combat the growing threats of cybercrime, SSP M.Y. Kichloo , a distinguished cyber expert from the CICE Jammu & Kashmir Police Department, led a powerful and informative seminar on “Cyber Awareness and Preventive Measures” here, today.
The event was organized by the Chamber of Tourism Trade and Industry Katra (CTTIK) in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Katra, and Government Higher Secondary School, Katra. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from business leaders, students, officials, and prominent people of the area.
While SSP Kichloo was the chief guest, the seminar was attended by Arvind Kumar and Arpan Kumar Ast CEOs CRPF 6th Battalion Katra , Rajesh Mengi AEE JPDCL Katra, Bishm Dubey DSP Katra, Khyatiman Khajuria SHO Katra, Fateh Singh Principal Higher Secondary School, Katra, Shiv Kumar Sharma former president Hotel and Restaurant Association of Katra . All dignitaries were honoured with Mata Ki Chunaris and flower pots, symbolizing respect and reverence.
In his welcome address, CTTIK president, Raj Kumar Padha stressed the importance of cyber security awareness and legal safeguards, particularly in an increasingly digital economy.
The highlight of the Seminar was the keynote session by SSP Kichloo, who delivered an insightful presentation on evolving cyber threats and preventive measures. He shed light on a range of critical topics including Digital Arrest Scams, Pig Butchering (online investment frauds), Cyber Slavery, Deep Fakes, Cyber Impersonation, and Phishing Emails. His address offered practical strategies and real-world insights aimed at enhancing digital safety for both individuals and organizations.
An interactive question-and-answer session, moderated by Dr. Ankush, allowed participants to engage directly with the speaker, raising pertinent queries and discussing real-time cybercrime scenarios affecting the region. The seminar concluded with vote of thanks by CTTIK secretary.
Prominent CTTIK office bearers present on the occasion included senior vice president, Babu Ram Sharma, vice president, Raman Goswami, treasurer, Ramnik Sharma, secretary, Karan Vaid, and Executive Members, Susheel Dubey, Rattan Sharma,Neelam Sharma,Vivek Gupta , Vishal Kapoor and Jagdev Singh, all of whom played a pivotal role in organizing the seminar.
