KATHUA, Mar 25: To strengthen security along the border, Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua, Mohita Sharma, today conducted a detailed inspection of Border Police Posts (BPPs) and other sensitive areas in the district.
She was accompanied by SP Operations Mukund Tibrewal and other officials.
During the visit, the team inspected BPP Hariya Chak and reviewed the existing security arrangements on the ground.
The SSP directed officials to install CCTV cameras at all BPPs and naka points to enhance surveillance and ensure better monitoring of movement in border areas.
The team also carried out patrolling in the Hariya Chak nursery area, where instructions were issued to maintain strict vigil on suspicious activities and conduct regular search operations.
Emphasis was also laid on strengthening coordination with local residents to improve intelligence gathering.
Later, the team visited BPP Maharajpur and reviewed the ongoing construction work.
The concerned authorities were directed to expedite the work and ensure its early completion.
