JAMMU, Nov 20: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua Mohita Sharma today carried out a detailed review of the anti-infiltration grid in the Lower Kathua area, visiting remote villages, outposts, and security camps in Hiranagar and Rajbagh.
She inspected Outpost Malaman and Outpost Chingara, interacted with deployed personnel, and took briefings on past infiltration routes, Village Defence Guards and other key landmarks.
The SSP directed teams to keep strict watch on overground workers, maintain records of migratory population movement and identify more volunteers for the VDG scheme.
She also visited infiltration-prone areas including Pacca Kota, Parangoli, Mangloor and Saida, where she reviewed weapons and equipment of SOG and CRPF teams engaged in search operations, and instructed them to continue long-range patrols to strengthen local outreach and terrain familiarity.
At Baba Sidh Goriya temple-forest area, she met locals and took inputs on infiltration routes in Kamad forest, advising officers to hold regular PCPG meetings to improve police-public coordination.
SSP Sharma reiterated that Kathua Police remains fully committed to maintaining peace and security and will not tolerate any anti-national activity.
