SSP Jammu reviews security preparedness ahead of I-Day

JAMMU, Aug 13: SSP Jammu Joginder Singh today chaired a virtual security review meeting from the District Police Lines to assess arrangements for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
Senior police officers, including Zonal SPs, SP Operations, SDPOs, DySP DAR, DSP DSB, and sector officers, along with CAPF representatives, participated in the meeting to ensure coordinated efforts for the peaceful conduct of the event.
The SSP appreciated the smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 and briefed officers on the current security scenario.
He directed heightened vigilance across all areas, with special focus on religious places, critical installations, hotspot areas, and celebration venues.
Instructions were given for enhanced foot patrolling, deployment of long and short-range patrols, surprise nakas at strategic points, and effective area domination to deter anti-social elements.
Officers were also told to implement the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign to encourage public participation.
The meeting stressed close coordination among all security agencies to ensure foolproof security arrangements.
