JAMMU, Aug 6: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, today chaired a comprehensive crime and security review meeting at the District Police Lines, Jammu.
The meeting was attended by Zonal SPs, SDPOs, DySP DAR, SHOs, and In-charges of Police Posts across the district.
During the meeting, several issues were discussed including crime control strategies, quality investigation, timely disposal of cases, and strengthening public safety.
Emphasis was laid on cases registered under both old and new criminal laws, with specific focus on completing investigations within 60 to 90 days.
The SSP also reviewed progress on CCTNS, e-Sakshaya, SID, e-Summons and the mandatory use of FSL services.
The SSP directed officers to ensure accountable policing, stressing zero-tolerance against drugs, corruption and indiscipline.
He urged strict action against drug peddlers and called for effective measures to deal with anti-national and anti-social elements.
Officers were also advised to maintain polite behaviour and show empathy while addressing public issues, ensuring speedy justice and enhanced police response.
