JAMMU, Mar 7: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Joginder Singh today conducted a casual inspection-cum-meeting with officers of Domana and Akhnoor subdivisions to review the security scenario and functioning of police units in the area.
The meeting was attended by SP Rural Jammu, SDPO Domana, SDPO Akhnoor, SHOs of Domana and Akhnoor, in-charge police posts, investigating officers, readers and other office staff.
During the meeting, the SSP Jammu reviewed crime disposal and directed officers to maintain heightened vigilance, intensify patrolling and conduct surprise nakas in their respective jurisdictions.
He stressed the need for ensuring proper security of religious places, critical installations and other sensitive locations. The SSP also directed officers to carry out time-bound investigation and disposal of cases and take strict action against drug peddlers and organised criminals.
Joginder Singh further emphasized the effective implementation of new criminal laws, including provisions of Zero FIR and e-FIR. He asked officers to make better use of digital platforms such as NAFIS, Google Sheets, IRAD, ICJS and NATGRID to improve policing efficiency and coordination.
The SSP also advised officers to maintain proper turnout, professional body language and courteous behaviour while dealing with the public. He stressed the importance of quality investigation, use of FSL services, progress on CCTNS and citizen-centric policing.
Reiterating zero tolerance against drugs, corruption, crime burking and indiscipline, the SSP directed officers to perform their duties with dedication and ensure effective policing in their respective areas.
