Excelsior Correspondent POONCH, Apr 8: In a commendable initiative, District Police Poonch, under its continued efforts to address public grievances and enhance cyber policing, successfully recovered 50 missing and stolen mobile phones, which were handed over to their rightful owners by SSP Poonch, Shafket Hussain . The total value of the recovered mobile phones is estimated to be over Rs 8 lakhs. The recoveries were made by Cyber Police Station Poonch following sustained technical investigation into complaints received from citizens regarding lost or stolen mobile devices. By leveraging advanced tracking mechanisms, technical surveillance, and coordinated efforts with service providers, the team was able to trace and recover the missing devices from different locations. After completing all necessary legal formalities and proper verification, the recovered mobile phones were formally handed over to their rightful owners during a brief function. DySP Hqrs Poonch, Neeraj Sharma, was also present on the occasion and assisted in handing over the mobile phones to the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation and gratitude towards District Police Poonch for their swift and professional action.
