SSP Doda visits remote areas of Bhaderwah to strengthen security grid

DODA, May 24: In a significant outreach effort to reinforce hinterland security and enhance public trust, SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta visited the far-flung Panchayat Manthala in Bhaderwah today. He was accompanied by Addl. SP Bhaderwah Vinod Sharma and SHO Police Station Bhaderwah Suresh Kumar.
A public meeting was held with the participation of local leaders including DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh, Ex-Serviceman President Raj Singh Charak and Sarpanches and Panches of nearby villages. Locals appreciated SSP Mehta’s direct engagement and his efforts to address grassroots concerns.
Residents requested regular training for Village Defence Group (VDG) members to strengthen their preparedness against insurgency threats and also urged an increase in their honorarium. SSP Mehta assured them of forwarding these concerns to higher authorities and instructed police officers to prepare a detailed report for necessary action.
The visit received widespread praise, with the community expressing gratitude towards Doda Police. SSP Mehta reaffirmed the department’s commitment to strengthening security coordination and praised the VDGs’ contributions to local peace and safety.
