POONCH, May 24: District Police chief Poonch, J S Johar today convened `Nafri Darbar’ at District Police Lines (DPL) here and also listened to the grievances and issues of the force men today.
DySP DAR, Mohd Rafi Giri, DySP CDB Sagar Singh Slathia, all Incharge Units of DPO, DPL and `Nafri’ from all Police Stations/Posts, SOG, Women Cell , Welfare Centre, DSB etc attended the Policemen’s assembly.
Initially, the officers/officials including SPOs were given chance to put forward their grievances and issues pertaining to them. SSP gave a very patient hearing to the problems faced by the jawans and issued on spot directions to concerned units for redressal of the same.
While speaking on the occasion he assured the police personnel that their welfare shall always be the top priority before him and that everything shall be done to ensure that the jawans perform their duties in a most hygienic environment by providing them hygienic mess, accommodation and games/recreational facilities. He said that he wants a clear, disciplined, healthy and punctual police service.
He said a police officer should be physically fit and mentally alert and keeping in view the same “ crowd control courses, CCTNS”, road marches, PT and games are being carried out regularly.
While concluding interaction with the `Nafri’ , SSP assured them of every kind of help. He said that the issues which are required to be taken up with the higher ups he will definitely project before them. He advised all the officers/officials for friendly, cooperative and adoption of humanistic approach in dealing with the issues of general public. Providing peaceful environment free of anti- social and anti -national activities should be our top priority and the general public should be confident about our efforts and sincerity, the SSP maintained.
