SSP conducts PCPG meeting, reviews crime scenario

DODA, July 4: A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held here today at Gandoh Bhalessa under the chairmanship of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta.
SDM Gandoh, SDPO Gandoh, SHO Police Station Gandoh and In-Charges of police posts were also present in the meeting along with locals from Gandoh and adjoining areas.
Many public grievances were resolved in the meeting. SSP Sandeep Mehta assured the gathering regarding ongoing support and the commitment by police to resolve the legitimate concerns as swiftly as possible. He emphasized the importance of maintaining communal harmony.
Following PCPG meeting, the SSP reviewed the crime scenario and focused on all under-investigation cases from the current year, as well as backlog cases.
Officers received instructions to expedite investigations, ensure quality and maximize case resolutions.
The SSP stressed the need to identify links in NDPS cases to eliminate drug-related crime and pinpoint habitual offenders for potential detention under PSA. He urged the initiation of proceedings for the attachment of property linked to these offenders.
For Unlawful Activities Prevention Act cases, the SSP Doda mandated Investigating Officers to gather circumstantial and electronic evidence to support thorough investigations, emphasizing the necessity for cases to be submitted for judicial determination based on merit.
Officers were instructed to maintain surveillance on suspects, drug addicts, Over Ground Workers, troublemakers and individuals spreading rumours, ensuring preventive action is taken to uphold law and order at all costs.
The meeting also covered updates on the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems, including the usage of e-Sakshya, e-Summons and the DGsP/IGsP conference dashboard.
All Investigating Officers were directed to submit all Medical Legal Cases and post-mortem reports to the relevant hospitals via the designated portal, ensuring that results are obtained through the MedLeaPR platform.
