Jammu, Jan 9: A cyber crime awareness programme was organised for the officers and jawans of IRP 18 Bn at conference hall of DPL. The presentation was give by Ramnish Gupta, SSP CICE along with DySP Albeena Malik,DySP Monika Thakur and other officers/officials of CICE Jammu.
The programme was attended by more than 90 officers and officials of the J&K Police who were sensitized about the existing cyber crimes/ frauds ,emerging online fraud trends like online investment frauds, online job frauds, digital arrest, online impersonation, call spoofing , fake e mails, ghost pairing, Sim swaps skimming etc. The participants were briefed on safe digital behaviour, preventive measures and reporting mechanisms available (1930 Helpline and www.cybercrime.gov.in) to check the Cyber frauds and social media crimes . The initiative was aimed at strengthening cyber awareness and preparedness among police personnel. The Commandant IR18 Bn Raj Singh Goria-and other Officers of IR 18 BN made all the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the programme.
