JAMMU, Nov 25: Sanjeevni Sharda Kendra (SSK), Anand Nagar Bohri, organised the 350th BalidanDiwas of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to commemorate the supreme sacrifice made by Guru Sahib for the freedom of faith and humanity.
Referring to Guru Tegh Bahadur as “Hind kiChadar,” the chief guest, Prof.Gurwinder Singh , a renowned academician and political leader from Punjab, said that Guru Sahib embodied immense spiritual and moral strength. The handkerchief and sword gifted to him by his father in childhood later became the enduring symbols of Hind ki Chadar. With his sword, he stood in defence of religion and humanity, ultimately laying down his life for truth and righteousness.
While paying tribute to Pandit Kirpa Ram Dutt, a revered Kashmiri Pandit scholar from Martand (Kashmir), he recalled his deep association with Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Guest of honour Avtar Singh Ji Khalsa, former DGPC general secretary said that as the nation observes historic 350th BalidanDiwas, the legacy of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji continues to shine as a beacon of hope and moral courage.
Chairman, Sanjeevni Sharda Kendra, Dr. M. K. Bharat, who presided over the function, paid heartfelt tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and to Bhai Mati Dass, Bhai Sati Dass, Bhai Dyala Ji, Kushal Singh Ji Dahiy, Pt. Kirpa Ram Dutt, and unsung martyrs. The welcome note was presented by Vikas Raina and vote of thanks was delivered by Bansi Lal Naru.
