SRS for probe behind delay in Mass Communication Course in JU

JAMMU, May 8: Shri Ram Sena has appealed Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to enquire about the amount of Rs 1 crore sanctioned by then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for starting Mass Communication course in Jammu University.
Addressing a press conference, here today, SRS State president Rajiv Mahajan said that during the tenure of Prof Amitabh Mattoo as Vice-Chancellor, then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had sanctioned Rs 1.5 crore for starting Mass Communication course in JU. Since then, Prof M P S Ishar is the third VC but there is no clue about the course, he rued.
He said that unprecedented delay in starting Mass Communication course was another instance of discrimination with Jammu region as the same was started in Srinagar 25 years ago.
Others present in the press conference, included Ajay Gupta, Bal Krishan Arora, Pawan Choudhary, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Parul Gupta, S C Singh, Vijayant Pathania, Yogesh Mangotra, Pawan Verma, Deepak Slathia and others.
