SRINAGAR : Despite fresh snowfall, the Srinagar-Jammu national highway, connecting the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, remained open for one-way, official sources said.
They said there was fresh snow on both sides of the Jawhar tunnel and Banihal this morning. However, highway was through, they said, adding that today traffic was allowed from Srinagar to Jammu.
No vehicle was allowed from Jammu to Srinagar as the highway remained open for only one-way. Hundreds of vehicles, including those carrying passengers, left different parts of the valley, including Qazigund, gateway of Kashmir on the highway. (AGENCIES)
