SRCT discusses problems of orphans, honours officers

KISHTWAR, Mar 9: The problems being faced by the orphan children and destitute were discussed at a function held at Ashiana Orphanage here, today. The programme was organised by Social Reforms & Charitable Trust (SRCT) and District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
The speakers asked the people to come forward in ameliorating the lot of orphan children by brining cheers in their lives. The DC Kishtwar acclaimed the SRCT for its service to destitute and orphan children by sharing its social responsibility.
On the occasion Mahajabeen Akhter, Munsif Kishtwar, Misbah Arjumand, Sasbia Fatima, Mamta Sudershan all KAS officers, Dr Shabnam Lailla, Gynecologist, Sunita Sharma, Principal, Mohan Lal Thakur, chairperson, CWC, Kishtwar, Sakshi Sharma, SI Police, Pritma Sharma, Maneesha Manu, journalist, Shagufta Parveen, AWW, Rekha Devi, Asha Worker, Simridhi Sen and Areeba Tabsum in sports were honoured.
The function, besides prominent citizens was also attended by the officers of the district who included ASP Kishtwar, District Social Welfare, Officer, Kishtwar, Anoop Sharma, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kishtwar, Riaz Ahmed Zargar, Chairman MC Kishtwar, Sanjeet Kotwal, Vice chairman, Kuldeep Sharma and prominent advocates of the district.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Sanjeev Parihar founder president SRCT who informed about the activities of the organization and appealed people to join hands in fighting against social evils.
