JAMMU, June 22: An intensive workshop on Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) optional for aspirants preparing for the UPSC and JKAS examinations organized by SR College of Competitions was conducted here today.
The workshop drew an impressive number of participants from across the region and received a highly positive response.
The workshop was aimed at giving aspirants a strong foundation in PSIR, which is one of the most sought-after optional subjects for civil services.
The session included a detailed discussion on the complete PSIR syllabus, an analysis of important themes and thinkers and guidance on how to structure answers effectively in the mains examination.
The subject expert shared a carefully curated list of standard sources and reference materials, helping students streamline their preparation and avoid unnecessary content overload.
The interactive nature of the workshop allowed aspirants to raise individual doubts, seek conceptual clarity and understand examiner expectations.
In a significant move to support serious JKAS aspirants, SR College has also launched a comprehensive JKAS Mains GS and Optional Test Series.
The test series aims to equip candidates with the writing skills, time management and analytical approach required to perform well in the mains stage of the examination.
