JAMMU, June 14: Senior Citizens SS Club Chowadi today unveiled its action plan to raise awareness among public about the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD).
The action plan was unveiled in a meeting held in the office of Senior Citizens SS Club Chowadi under the chairmanship of Dr Kasturi Lal. Major General SK Sharma (president) and Dr Vijay Sharma (general secretary) apprised the members that the Club has invited various theatre groups and artists from Jammu as well as northern India to spread the message of “Give due respect to senior citizens, advocate their wellbeing” among the public through acts and plays. The event has been named Dogri Rangotsav 2025.
Dr Kasturi Lal informed that the event will be coordinated by Rajnesh Gupta of Viraj Kala Mandal. He further shared that a total of nine plays will be presented between 7th to 9th July from 4:30 PM to 7: 30 PM at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. There is no entry fee for these plays and all are invited to attend and enjoy these plays, he added.
