UDHAMPUR, Apr 4: SSP Udhampur has disengaged a Special Police Officer (SPO) with immediate effect for sharing vital information with an accused.
Enquiry revealed that the accused SPO, namely Shabir Khan , was sharing information via WhatsApp with an accused in FIR No. 124/2026 U/S 223 BNS and 11 PCA Act of Police Station Udhampur to help evade naka checking.
His involvement was confirmed during investigation, including WhatsApp chats and statements.
As the act reflects grave indiscipline and misuse of official position, he has been disengaged from the service.
