RAJOURI, July 17: In a tragic incident on Thursday, an SPO of Jammu and Kashmir Police lost his life after falling from a moving private bus at Dheri Ralyote in Rajouri district.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Razaq, aged 45 years, son of Raj Mohd, resident of Bindi Jamola, Rajouri. He was presently posted at Police Lines, Poonch.
According to initial reports, Mohd Razaq was commuting in a private passenger vehicle bearing registration number JK02DE-1671, when he accidentally fell from the bus near Dheri Ralyote. The incident caused panic among fellow passengers and others along the road.
Acting swiftly, a police team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Manjakote, Imran Khan, rushed to the spot and immediately shifted the injured SPO to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Manjakote for treatment. However, Dr Saleem Bhatti, BMO Manjakote, confirmed that the SPO was brought dead to the hospital.
The police have initiated further proceedings in the case, and the body has been handed over to the family after completion of legal formalities.
