SPO attacked, injured by assailants, hospitalised

SAMBA, Mar 2: A Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police was attacked and injured by assailants with sharp edged weapons near village Chak Chataka of tehsil Ramgarh today afternoon.
As per police sources, SPO posted at Police Station Ramgarh namely Arun Kumar, son of Ramesh Chander of village Mahalshan was attacked and injured by three unidentified assailants with sharp edged weapons owing to some old enmity near village Chak Chataka.
The profusely bleeding SPO was rushed to CHC Ramgarh, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Ramgarh and hunt was launched to nab the assailants.
However, no arrest was made till last reports were compiled.
