Special trains between Katra, Sangaldan from tomorrow

JAMMU, Sept 6: To aid the stranded passengers of Reasi and Ramban owing to incessant rains and flash floods, Railways has announced a pair of local passenger train service connecting SVDK Katra Station and Sangaldan Station for the next five days from Monday.
According to an official spokesperson of Northern Railway, this Flood Special un-reserved train service will start operations on temporary basis from September 8 (Monday) to September 12 (Friday).

Train number 04685 will depart from Katra to Sangaldan at 8:40 hrs while train number 04686 will depart from Sangaldan to Katra at 14:15 hrs, official added.
The SVDK-SGDN Flood Special from Katra will reach Reasi at 9: 00 hrs, Bakkal at 9:10 hrs, Dugga at 9:24 hrs and Sawalakot at 9:36 hrs with a brief stoppage of two minutes at the each station before reaching at Sangaldan at 10:00 hrs.
Similarly, the train from Sangaldan will reach Sawlakot at 14:35 hrs, Dugga at 14:47 hrs, Bakkal at 15:01 hrs and Reasi at 15:11 hrs with stoppage of two minutes at the each station before reaching at Katra at 15:45 hrs.
Meanwhile, the Jammu-Katra shuttle train service remained suspended for the third day today after a landslide blocked the track between Ramnagar and Manwal along the Jammu-Udhampur section.
The shuttle service started on September 1 and was scheduled to run till September 15 but had to be cancelled due to the landslide triggered by heavy rain.
Authorities are trying to clear the track and restore the service on the stretch, the official said.
