Special train service between Katra, New Delhi

JAMMU, Dec 11: To meet the growing demand of passengers and provide significant relief to devotees visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jammu Divison of Northern Railway has announced to run a special train between New Delhi and Katra from 12 December to 14 December.

Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh has shared the information on his X handle.
This special train (04081) will depart from New Delhi at 11:45 PM on 12 December and arrive at Katra at 12:00 PM the next day. En route, the train will stop at Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu, and Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur) Railway Stations.
Special train (No. 04082) will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 9:20 PM on Dec 13 and arrive in New Delhi at 10:00 AM the next day. En route, the train will stop at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur), Jammu, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra, and Panipat railway stations.
Regarding the special train running periodically in the Jammu division, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal, stated, “This special train is being operated to provide better travel options for passengers. The operation of this special train will also increase the chances of passengers getting confirmed tickets during peak seasons. This is a reserved special train, which will be operated with 20 coaches.
