JAMMU, Mar 28: To enhance passenger convenience, a special reserved train-No. 05193/05194-has been introduced between Jammu Tawi and Chhapra.
As per the schedule, the special train will complete 15 trips in each direction. Train No. 05194 will run from April 8 to July 15 for a total of 15 trips. It will depart from Jammu Tawi every Wednesday at 01:20 hrs and reach Chhapra on Thursday at 09:15 hrs.
Similarly, Train No. 05193 will operate from April 6 to July 13, also completing 15 trips. It will depart from Chhapra every Monday at 14:12 hrs and arrive at Jammu Tawi on Tuesday at 23:00 hrs. En route, the train will halt at several important stations in both directions, including Kathua, Pathankot Cantt., Jalandhar Cantt., Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt., Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Roorkee, Laksar, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj, Padrauna, Thawe, Dighwa Dubauli, and Chhapra Kacheri.
The train will comprise a mix of Air-Conditioned (AC), Sleeper, and General Class coaches to cater to different categories of passengers. Speaking on the initiative, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal stated that the special train has been introduced in view of the heavy passenger rush. He added that the service will provide direct and comfortable connectivity between Jammu, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
