JAMMU, Oct 29: Traffic Police City Jammu has cracked a whip on the traffic violations at Akhnoor town.
“In order to bring a sense of safety among the common masses and on the directions of SSP Traffic City Jammu Shiv Kumar Sharma, a joint drive was carried out at Akhnoor Town by DySP Traffic City Rural Neeraj Paddyar, DTI Akhnoor Inspector Satvir Singh, SDPO Akhnoor Vinay Jandiyal and SHO Akhnoor Inspector Ravi Parihar against traffic violators.
During the course of drive, nearly 40 vehicles were challaned under relevant sections of MV Act. Besides this, awareness regarding importance of following Traffic Rules and Regulations was also disseminated among the general masses.
“Such drives will continue in future also so as to keep a check on Traffic Violators especially two wheeler riders”, said ASP Traffic City Jammu Pardeep Singh Gouria.
“The general public of Jammu city are requested to kindly cooperate with Traffic Police in order to bring a visible change in traffic management in the Winter capital”, said SSP Traffic Shiv Kumar Sharma.
