Speaker lauds Red Cross for extending help during exigencies

SRINAGAR, Sept 6: Speaker Legislative Assembly  Kavinder Gupta today inaugurated a two-day workshop on Basic Methodology First Aid Training  being organized by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Jammu and Kashmir State Branch.
The aim of the workshop  is to generate awareness among the staff members of Legislative Assembly about   first aid to save the precious lives during untoward incidents.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta, advocated for further strengthening the Red Cross movement through massive collective efforts, saying that IRCS is carrying out the noble mission of alleviating human sufferings through its fundamental doctrine of selfless services.
He highlighted the humanitarian endeavors of Red Cross and requested the gathering to contribute in every possible way to strengthen its objectives. He also stressed on the need to keep the objectives of the Red Cross always in mind.
The workshop was organized under the guidance of MS Rather, General Secretary IRCS, J&K.
While interacting with the J&K Legislative Secretariat staff members, Imran Muzaffar Programme Manger State Branch Red Cross Society Jammu and Kashmir said the Red Cross means missionary zeal and wished that a sea of humanity would join hands to serve all those in distress.
The others who spoke on the occasion include Dr Afroza, First Aid Coordinator, Sahil Dar , Mudasir Ahmad and Zahoor Ahmad, Trainers and Volunteers.
R. L Sharma, Special Secretary, Naseema Jan, Additional Secretary, Fayaz Ahmad, Deputy Secretary, Choudhary Abdul Rashid, Assistant Director (Security), IT Branch Assembly  etc. were among those present on the occasion.
