SPACE organizing SPLASH’ 22 to promote Drawing, Painting, Graphic arts

JAMMU, Aug 18: Society for Promotion of Art, Culture and Education (SPACE) is organizing 1st Indian Open Art Challenge SPLASH’22 to promote Drawing, Painting and Graphic arts in J&K and registration for the event has begun wherein a website www.spacejk.org has been launched for online registration.
Addressing a media conference Mahua Gupta, Chief Coordinator cum jury member of the event said that winners will be awarded prizes along with certificates and medals and a chance to be published in Book of Art along with participation in Art Exhibition.
“Although this event is open for participants from all over the country, this is bound to help create an atmosphere for development of arts especially in UTs of J&K and Ladakh and make people aware that how valuable art is,” she maintained adding that acclaimed artist Suman Gupta, veteran artist Bhushan Kesar and renowned cartoonist Manoj Chopra have consented to be Judges to the event and former Minister Priya Sethi and BJP leader, Yudhvir Sethi will be Patrons to the event.
Mahua disclosed that registration can be done before August 31, 2022 and participants up to the age of 18 years can participate in junior category whereas those above 18 years are eligible to take part in senior category and winners in senior category will be awarded Rs. 31000, Rs 21000 and Rs. 11000 as first, second and third prizes respectively with next 10 will receive Rs 1100 each as consolation prizes. Similarly Winners in junior category will be awarded Rs. 11000, Rs. 5100 and Rs. 2100 as first, second and third prizes respectively and next 10 will receive Rs. 500 each as consolation prizes.
