Space Communication, Aviation industry celebrate ‘India Tourism Day’

SRINAGAR, Jan 27: In its bid to highlight the importance of aviation industry in connecting Kashmir, the Tourism Department in association with Space Communications organized an event on the ‘India Tourism Day’ here at SKICC,
Speaking on the occasion, Tourism Minister Ghulam Ahmad Mir said that the people associated with the aviation industry are the first to greet the tourists and they must act as brand ambassadors to promote and make the image of Kashmir tourism industry. He said that even in tough times the people from aviation industry received tourists with smiling faces, adding that they should continue to do the same.
Director Tourism, Kashmir, Talat Parvez highlighted the importance of tourism industry and said that tourism is playing a major role in contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of Kashmir by creating direct and indirect jobs to thousands of youth.
Awards were distributed among the people who showed their honesty while returning cash and other valuable items to tourists during their stay in Kashmir.
