Soz, Bhalla, Sham conduct extensive tour of Baramulla, Sopore

PCC chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz accompanied by Ministers Raman Bhalla and Sham Lal Sharma inspecting development work on Tuesday.

SRINAGAR, July 9: Pradesh Congress Committee chief and former Union Minister, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today conducted extensive tour of Baramulla and Sopore and took stock of the developmental activities being carried out by the Congress-National Conference Coalition Government in various sectors.
Accompanied by Minister for Housing and Horticulture, Raman Bhalla and Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma, Prof Soz visited Delina, Khanpora, Zoogiyar, Kanispora and Sopore fruit mandies and other areas.
During the visit to fruit mandies, Prof Soz and Bhalla took stock of various developmental works being executed including the fruit and vegetable sheds and issued directions for speedy completion. At Sopore Mandi, they dedicated a plasma screen fully equipped with modern facilities so that growers are connected to the rest of the world round the clock besides getting updated information regarding the trade and market.
Prof Soz handed over  an ambulance to the Primary Health Centre Delina. This ambulance was procured for Rs 10 lakh provided by PCC chief from his MP LAD fund. At Kanispora, he directed the  Deputy Commissioner Baramulla to issue notice for acquisition  of land for  expansion of the Mandi.
The PCC chief along with PHE Minister, Sham Lal Sharma, during their visit to Khanpora,  laid the foundation stone for Water Supply Scheme Syed Janbaz Wali Saheb Khanpora. On the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma assured Prof. Soz that the scheme will be completed ahead of schedule by the end of year 2013.
Later, in the day Prof. Soz visited Zoogiyar  Narvav Baramulla and  addressed a public gathering where Sham Lal Sharma inspected the site of  Lift Irrigation Scheme that will irrigate Zoogiyar, Zendapheran, Shalteng,  Badmulla,  Pehliharan, Kichhama and other villages of Narvav Baramulla.
MLC G N Moonga also accompanied Prof Soz during his visit to Sopore and Baramulla.
