JAMMU, Apr 19: The literary fraternity of Jammu came together today to celebrate the release of Sountuk Partav, a distinguished collection of Kashmiri and Urdu poetry penned by the late Dehati.
The event, held at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, Anand Nagar, Bohri, was organized by the Nagrad Adbi Sangam.
The ceremony was graced by eminent scholars, poets, and admirers of Kashmiri literature. The chief guest on the occasion was Prof.P.N.Trisal while guest of honour was Prof.R.L.Talashi and Avtar Hugami.
The function was presided over by Piaray Hatash and welcome address was given by Piaray Lal Shangroo and programme was conducted by Ashok Kaloo.
Several prominent personalities paid rich tribute to the poetic legacy of Dehati and reflected upon his profound contribution to literature.
Noted reviewer Vijay Wali read a paper on the book. Several prominent personalities including Dolly Arwal Tickoo, Kusam Sharda, Vijay Kumar Bhat, Bably Mian, Vijay Bhat, Ashok Gowhar, Dr.Romesh Nirash, Dr.T.K.Bhat, Dr. T.K.Moza, Avtar Krishen Raina, Dr.M.K.Baraht, Krishen Ji. Prof.O.N.Koul, Satish Sameer, Pitamber Razdan, Bindrabhan Sher, P.K.Raina, Ravi Toshkhani, Tej Bhadur, Satish Razdan ,Anil Wali, B.L.Bhat ,Pran Nath and Dileep Bhat.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Kuldeep Kumar Bhat expressing gratitude to the contributors, organizers, and attendees who made the occasion memorable.
