JAMMU, July 13: Rashim Dhar Sood, BJP Mahila Morcha national vice president & Morcha Prabhari J&K lauded the enthusiasm shown by the women activists which resulted into thumping victory in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
Talking to reporters here, today, she said that to expand the base of the BJP State Mahila Morcha will organize the “membership drive” from July 14 onwards. She has given the target of more than two lakh members to Mahila activists.
Sood added that the membership drive would focus on prominent citizens including doctors, engineers, teachers, retired employees and educated youth. “We will also reach out to the street vendors and make them part of the BJP for their welfare”, she said.
Sood said to make the membership drive successful, each active member has to bring 50 members into party fold. The membership drive assumes significance since it is being launched ahead of the J&K Assembly polls scheduled early next year. She said and adding new members will be enrolled both online and offline.
Mahila Morcha State president, Rajni Sethi and State general secretaries Sanjita Dogra and Shailza Gupta were also present in the press conference.
