JAMMU, Dec 23: The Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge today assigned the charge of several States and UTs to the new members /general secretaries while relieving Priyanka Gandhi Wadra from the charge of the party in Uttar Pradesh.
Former JKPCC president and Member Congress Working Committee (CWC) from J&K, Ghulam Ahmed Mir has been assigned the charge of Jharkhand and the additional charge of West Bengal. Bharat Singh Solanki has been assigned the charge of Jammu and Kashmir. He replaced AICC general secretary Rajni Patil.
Mukul Wasnik has been assigned the charge of Gujarat State, Jitendra Singh gets the charge of Assam with additional charge of Madhya Pradesh; Randeep Singh Surjewala is new I/C Karnataka, Dipak Babria new I/C Delhi with additional charge of Haryana, Sachin Pilot new Incharge Chhattisgarh; Avinash Pandey -Uttar Pradesh, Kumari Selja I/C Uttarakhand, Deepa Dasmunshi I/c Kerala, Lakshadweep & addl charge of Telangana; Jairam Ramesh – I/C Communication while K C Venugopal has been retained as Incharge Organisation.
Mohan Prakash has been assigned the charge of Bihar State, Ramesh Chenithala I/C Maharashtra, Rajeev Shukla Incharge Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh, Devender Yadav new Incharge of Punjab State, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa – Incharge Rajasthan, Dr Ajoy Kumar Incharge Odisha and additional charge of Tamil Nadu and Pudducherry, Manickam Tagore I/C Andhra Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar; Dr Chella Kumar I/C Meghalya, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh; Girish Chodankar I/C Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura; Manikrao Thakre I/C Goa, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli while Gurdeep Singh Sappal has been assigned the charge of party administration.
Meanwhile, the AICC president appointed Ajay Maken as party treasurer while Milind Deora and Vijay Inder Singla were appointed as joint treasurers of the Congress Party.
