JAMMU, Dec 12: A delegation of employees led by Jammu Divisional head of Social Forestry employees Raj Singh today met Forest and PHE Minister Javed Rana in Civil Secretariat Jammu and apprised him of the various problems being faced by the employees.
The delegation urged the Minister to simplify the transfer and promotion policy. Javed Rana assured the employees that Social Forestry will be made a stronger and better department than before and it will be strengthened at the block level. By creating small blocks of it, the Jammu and Kashmir government will give an example of excellent management to the whole of India.
The Minister further said that all the problems of the employees will be solved very soon, which may include promotion or transfer matters or employees who are being deliberately harassed by some people in the department.
The Minister said that his efforts will continue to strengthen Social Forestry.
He said that every person should plant such saplings at the Panchayat level including towns so that the Panchayat benefits from it. The Panchayat people must become economically strong and the Panchayat can become an excellent economic resource in itself.
The delegation included general secretary Hardeep Singh, Ravi Kumar, Krishan Lal and others.
