Snatcher arrested, stolen mobile phone recovered

JAMMU, Apr 21: Pounichack police arrested a snatcher and recovered stolen purse containing mobile phone from his possession.
As per police sources, on April 18 this year, a complaint was lodged by Nirmla Koul, wife of Joginder Koul of Sarswati Vihar, Bohri with Police Post Pounichack stating that when she was going home on foot some unknown person riding on a scooty snatched her purse and ran away.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 126/18 under Section 382 RPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police rounded up several suspects and finally nabbed the accused, who has been identified as Paras Dubey, son of Om Parkash, a resident of Lower Laxmi Nagar, Sarwal.
On his disclosure, stolen purse containing mobile phone worth Rs 20000 was recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by Incharge Pounichack Police Post SI Arun Slathia made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Sumit Sharma, SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta, SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
