JAMMU, Feb 12: A team of second-year B. Tech Computer Science Engineering students from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) achieved first place at the prestigious CXO Roundtable competition during Udyamitsav 2026, hosted by IIT Jammu.
Competing against teams from leading institutions, the group-PyTensor Byte-delivered a structured, practical and scalable solution to a real-world EdTech challenge centred on building an effective Online-to-Offline (O2O) learning ecosystem.
The team members-Maneesh Kumar (CEO), Shubham Saini (CTO), Naresh Kumar (COO), Mukti Porwal (CMO) and Akshit Raj (CFO)-adopted executive roles to simulate corporate decision-making, ensuring teaching quality, operational scalability, seamless digital-classroom integration and cost efficiency.
Their preparation was strengthened by the mentorship of senior B. Tech CSE students Sachin Tripathi, Yash Srivastava and Kartiky Saxena, last year’s CXO winners from CSE, SMVDU, whose guidance helped refine their strategy and presentation.
The achievement strongly reflects the visionary and progressive leadership of the Vice Chancellor, whose consistent encouragement, emphasis on experiential learning and support for participation in national-level competitions have fostered a culture of confidence, innovation and excellence across the university.
