JAMMU, Mar 22: The School of Electronics and Communication Engineering (SoECE), SMVDU, organized an educational visit to Air Force Station (AFS) Jammu, providing students with valuable exposure to advanced defence technologies and operations.
During the visit, officials at AFS Jammu briefed the students on modern aviation technologies, defence systems, and operational frameworks of the Indian Air Force. The interaction offered practical insights and enhanced students’ understanding of real-world technological applications.
The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr Anil Kumar Bhardwaj, Head, SoECE, along with faculty members Dr Randhir Sah and Dr Manish Sabraj. Their efforts ensured a meaningful and enriching learning experience for the students. Sanjeev Suri also extended his support in the successful conduct of the visit.
A similar educational and experiential learning tour was organized for the BBA students of the School of Business at Surinsar Lake. The tour aimed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom, focusing on personal development, teamwork, and leadership skills.
All activities during this experiential tour were conducted under the expert guidance and supervision of Gp Capt (Retd) Kamal Singh Oberh of Tawi Adventures.
The tour featured a range of group activities designed to inculcate team building, resilience, cooperation, and leadership among students. In addition, individual activities were organized to enhance agility, decision-making, and risk-taking abilities-essential qualities for aspiring managers and entrepreneurs.
The tour was successfully coordinated by Dr Ketan Bhatt, with active support from Dr Divya, Dr Sarabjot, and Dr Ritu, who also accompanied the students.
