UDHAMPUR, Apr 9: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) marked a significant milestone today with the official launch of its Admission Portal for the academic session 2025-26.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the Matrika Auditorium at SMVDU and was graced by Vice-Chancellor (VC), Prof Pragati Kumar, who formally launched the portal in the presence of a gathering comprising all Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members and staff.
The newly launched portal aims to streamline the admission process for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs offered by the university. Designed with user-centric features and intuitive navigation, the portal will facilitate a smooth application experience for prospective students from across the country.
In his address, Prof Pragati Kumar expressed pride in the university’s growing digital infrastructure and reiterated SMVDU’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in academic admissions. “The launch of this portal not only signifies the beginning of a new academic journey for aspiring students but also highlights our continued strides in embracing technology for better governance and service delivery,” he stated.
The event was attended by all academic and administrative heads, who lauded the collaborative effort behind the development of the portal. Faculty and staff members were also present in large numbers to witness the launch.
The portal can be accessed through the university’s official website www.smvdu.ac.in, and will remain open for applications as per the admission calendar. Detailed program-wise information, eligibility criteria, fee structure, and important deadlines are all available on the platform.
