KATRA, Aug 19: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University today observed its 12th Foundation Day by organizing an impressive function.
A panel discussion on the theme ‘Parameters of Quality Education in Higher Education’ was organized in which Dr Anil K. Tewari, Dr Amitabh Dwivedi, Rinkesh Kumar and Ruby Bharti were the main speakers.
It was followed by a grand cultural show in the Matrika Auditorium in which a number of instrumental and vocal performances were presented by students and school kids. A special vocal performance was presented by Rahul Kumar, Asst Prof of Music, Jammu.
Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjeev Jain called upon the students, staff and faculty to rededicate their commitment to service for oneness – one vision, one direction. He expressed his hope that by working together as team, the University can be taken to greater heights with hard work and sense of belongingness.
Dr V K Tripathi, president Board of Cultural Activities, presented a welcome address on the occasion. The event was graced by the presence of Ajay Khajuria, Registrar; Dr Yugal Khajuria, Dean of Students and all the faculty and staff members, students and kids of Vikap program.
The students and staff of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing also participated in the event, which was coordinated by Praylankar Ashutosh, Cultural Secretary while Abhinav Kumar, general secretary, Students’ Affairs Council, presented the vote of thanks.
