Srinagar, Sept 11: Police in Bandipora today said to have arrested a timber smuggler alongwith illicit timber.
Acting on specific information about timber smuggling in village Aloosa, a Police party under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Bandipora Mohammad Idrees raided the particular spot and seized a large quantity of illicit timber from one person identified as Adil Majeed Ganie resident of Ganie Mohalla Aloosa. He has been arrested and shifted to the police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 152/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Bandipora and further investigation initiated.
