Slathia pays tributes to martyr Deepak Kumar

VIJAYPUR, Dec 1: Lauding the valour of valiant jawans and officers in upholding the integrity and sovereignty of the nation, State vice president and former Minister Surjeet Singh Slathia today said their martyrdom will continue to inspire generations to fight for righteous cause.
Joining large number of people in paying tribute to Shaheed Deepak Kumar of CRPF-223 Cobra Bn. On his first death anniversary at his native village Kalah (Swankha) of Ramgarh area in district Samba, Mr Slathia said that nation will always remain indebted to the great sacrifices of its heroes.
He said observing the martyrdom of valiant soldiers depict the gratitude of the indebted people to national heroes who gave up their today for our safe tomorrow.
Mr Slathia and others, including the para-military and civil officers besides prominent citizens paid floral tributes to Shaheed Deepak Kumar. They included Commandant CRFP 38 Bn. Ranbir Singh Jaggi, 2 IC CRPF 166 Bn. Dinesh, Addl. S.P. Samba Faisal Qureshi, SDPO Vijaypur Shamsher Singh Sambyal. The family members of the martyr were also present during this ceremony. Panches and Sarpanches of the areas also paid floral tributes to the martyr.
Shaheed Deepak Kumar (CRPF-223 Cobra Bn.) laid down his life on December 1, 2014 under Operation Dantewada (Chhattisgarh) fighting with Naxalies.
Shaheed Deepak Kumar was born at village Kalah on 3rd of March 1992. At the age of eight years, Deepak Kumar lost his father Tarseem Lal and mother. His uncle Bodh Raj looked after Deepak Kumar and his elder sister.
Amongst those present on the occasion included Sarpanch Rampal Sharma, Sarpanch Baldev Singh, Sarpanch Devinder Singh, Kala Ram, Ram Chand and others.
