Slathia inaugurates link road, civic works

JAMMU, Oct 23: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Surjit Singh Slathia today inaugurated newly constructed link road with drains and community paths   at village Govindpuri and Gudwal in Vijaypur constituency.
The link road   completed at an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakh would benefit a large number of people of the area.
Addressing a public meeting after the inauguration, the Minister said that the State Government was keen to meet the developmental aspirations of the people, particularly in the neglected areas. He said the Government was making all out efforts to develop a strong infrastructural base in the State to accelerate socio -economic development of all the bad pockets.
Responding to local demands, he assured the people that the old electric wires will be replaced and the electrics poles will also be provided as per the requirement of village Gudwal.
On the occasion, the Minister also handed over the appointment letter of ReT to Pooja Rani of village Gudwal.
Slathia appealed the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for equitable development of all the three regions of the State. He also urged them to be cautious   from the forces who are hell bent to divide the people of the State on the communal, regional and caste lines. He asked them to strengthen the secular forces  to secure better future  for their coming generations.
District Development Commissioner, Samba, Mubarak Singh, SSP Samba, Israr Khan and other senior officers of various departments accompanied the Minister.
