JAMMU, Aug 19: The brochure of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM), a national science talent search examination for school students from classes VI to XI, was launched today at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu.
The brochure was formally released by Prof B N Tripathi, Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu, in the presence of eminent academicians and dignitaries. The function was graced by Prof Parveen Kumar Lehana, Prof Pawanesh Abrol, Pankaj Gupta, Vikas Langer, Subhash Chander and Tinny Sawhney.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Tripathi highlighted the importance of developing scientific temperament among students and appreciated the efforts of Vigyan Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with NCERT and NCSM (National Council of Science Museums), for organizing this unique initiative across the country. He encouraged students of Jammu & Kashmir to actively participate in this national program and showcase their scientific talent. He also emphasized that VVM is not just an exam but a movement to connect young minds with India’s rich scientific heritage, contemporary research, and future opportunities in science and technology.
