SKJVS delegation meets Swami Amrit Das Maharaj

SRINAGAR, July 4: A delegation from Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan (SKJVS) trust today paid a courtesy visit to Swami Amrit Das Maharaj, secretary of Shri Chander Chinar Bada Akhara Udasin Trust, Srinagar.
The meeting was aimed at promoting and preserving the divine language, Sanskrit.
On this occasion, the trust’s president, Mahant Rohit Shastri, presented detailed information about the various activities that the trust has been carrying out for many years for the preservation of Sanskrit, promotion of the Vedas and advancement of Sanatan culture.
He urged Swami Amrit Das to take necessary initiatives to establish Sanskrit Gurukuls in Jammu & Kashmir, so that the future generations can be connected to Vedic values and spiritual traditions, leading to widespread cultural awakening in society.
Senior trustee of the trust, R K Chhibber stated that Shri Chander Chinar Bada Akhara Udasin Trust has been making commendable contributions in the field of education. If this Akhara focuses specifically on Sanskrit education in Jammu & Kashmir, it could mark the beginning of a new cultural renaissance in the region.
On this occasion, Swami Amrit Das was respectfully presented with a felicitation volume published by SKJVS trust, dedicated to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha.
Swami Amrit Das appreciated the trust’s work and assured full support in promoting Sanskrit.
Sunil Sharma, Dr Sanjay Sharma and senior journalist Rohit Jandiyal were also present during the meeting.
