SKJAVST to celebrate ‘Sanskrit Month’ from July 12 to Aug 10

JAMMU, July 11: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust (SKJAVST) will celebrate ‘Sanskrit Month’ from July 12 to August 10, 2025.
This was stated by Mahant Rohit Shastri, Trust president while addressing a press conference here today.
“During this one-month period, the Trust will organise a series of events to promote Sanskrit language, Indian culture, social awareness and environmental conservation,” he maintained adding: “Seminars based on Sanskrit literature, reciting Shlokas and Sanskrit grammar will be held during the event apart from workshops on cyber safety.”
Shastri also said that tree plantation programmes will also be organised in schools, colleges and at Panchayat level to promote environmental protection.
“Awareness camps and discussion sessions will be organized to combat drug abuse among youth. Additionally, creative initiatives will address issues like dowry, female foeticide and caste discrimination,” he continued.
The Trust president further stated that through these month-long activities they aim to bring Sanskrit closer to the masses and re-establish ethical and cultural values in society.
He informed that a detailed programme calendar including dates, venues etc will be released a day before the event begins.
Shastri appealed to all the social organizations, educational institutions and the youth to actively participate in this Sanskrit campaign.
Those who were present in the press conference were senior Trust members including R.K Chhibber, Prof. Sharad Chandra Sharma, Dr Vishav Gupta, Sunil Sharma, Uttam Chand Sharma, Naresh Raina, Sunil Singh, Lucky Sharma, Rajesh Gandotra and Ajay Sharma.
