SRINAGAR, Mar 29: The administration at SKIMS, Soura, has raised concerns over faculty members applying for academic leave on short notice and proceeding without prior sanction.
“It has come to the notice… the faculty members of SKIMS who are nominated as Examiners from various institutions apply for grant of academic leave at short notice and proceed on academic leave without prior sanction,” a circular issued in this regard said.
SKIMS emphasized the importance of timely submission of academic leave requests, noting that the faculty members are required to submit such requests at least 15 days before the scheduled departure date.
This adjustment aims to facilitate timely processing and approval of academic leave, SKIMS said.
The circular issued to all Heads of Departments stressed that no post-facto sanctions would be considered or granted.
It urged strict adherence to the instructions provided, emphasizing the need for compliance both in letter and spirit.
